OUR HISTORY

PALMASA (Palmeros del Aguan Sociedad Anónima) emerged between 2008 and 2009, driven by the shared vision of an initial group of 30 independent producers, backed by a supportive partner. Noticing the low returns for palm fruit sales in the country, these visionary farmers saw the need to create a company dedicated to palm oil extraction.

As the group of producers grew over time, their concern over low local prices led them to seek new growth opportunities. It was then that the possibility of exporting arose, particularly to the Republic of Guatemala, which offered fairer and more favorable prices. This venture marked the beginning of PALMASA, a now-recognized palm oil extraction company, initially headquartered in Sabá, Colón, and currently based in the community of Tepic, Bonito Oriental, Colón, Honduras, C.A.
